We’re big on holidays and celebrations and December is no exception. When it comes to the holidays we’re ready to eat, drink, be merry AND make some beautiful flower arrangements! This year, we did some traditional and slightly different arrangements for a small cozy cocktail hour.

We are obsessed with our December Flower of the Month, our burgundy carnation, so we incorporated it into several bouquets. This color gave the arrangements a different touch and paired beautifully with both white hydrangeas and peach roses and hypericum.

We wanted to do some traditional arrangements that included pairing white alstroemeria with green hypericum and red roses. We also went for a simple bouquet, combining red and white alstroemeria with green hypericum.

Decorating the table was also a delight. We grabbed some pine, white Christmas lights and some very simple black and white holiday napkins. Our plates were also black and white to offset all the colorful flowers.

We made a delicious baked brie with honey, pecans and pomegranate seeds. Here is a similar recipe if you want to do it yourself.

As we all know, 2019 was the year of the cheese and meat boards so naturally, we had to create one of our own. We used a selection of cold cuts and meats, parmesan cheese, goat cheese, gruyere cheese, crackers, cranberries, some pecans and even a honeycomb. Even if you’re not hosting, it’s a great gift to bring. Check out this link that gives you a step by step on how to create one.

Holiday parties would not be complete without a signature cocktail. We went with a holiday white sangria recipe that included pears, cinnamon sticks and honey. You can check out the recipe here.

At the end of the day, it’s all about that having that holiday spirit and being surrounded by loved ones. We always enjoy creating these moments for you and we’ll continue doing this in 2020. Part of our Grown to Last promise is creating content that inspires you to make beautiful creations with flowers. Remember: we’re in the business of helping express feelings with flowers, and we’re proud of that! We hope you have a great holiday season and we wish you a Happy New Year!
